Houthandel van de Stadt BV is both a timber importer and specialist stockholder. The company, which has been based in Zaandam (Netherlands) since 1694, mainly specialises in the independent import of tropical hardwoods, hardwood from temperate regions and high-quality American softwood.

Our trading activities revolve around 4 main areas:

• Importing batches of timber
  We import Cedar, Mahogany, Meranti, Merbau, Oregon pine, Teak and Iroko, in particular for customers in the joinery industry and wood-processing industry. We also offer solid, laminated and finger-jointed frames.


• Specialist stockholders of around 40 types of timber
  Our stock includes sawn timber as well as trunks and unedged timber. Specifications and calculations are provided for contractors and interior contractors in particular, but also for the timber trade to supplement their own range.


• Solid wood floors for the parquet industry
  Wide, rustic European oak is the most popular solution. However, we can provide practically any type of timber required.


• Maritime
  For the ship and yacht building industry, we provide sawn teak and trunks for decks and interiors. In addition, van de Stadt supplies premium Cherry, Swietenia and a wide range of other types of timber. For the yacht building industry, we also supply panel products by Bruynzeel and sealants and adhesives by Sika.
